Just say no....

That's the best way to stand fast in the face of temptaion.

Yeah, it's cheesy, but I've been in that kind of a mood lately.

Had a very busy day, but having a car sure is nice. Went for a grueling Sunday afternoon at Wally World. I'm sure you have all had those. Literally hundreds of people jammed into the fucking rat maze that a store the size of a small school can be twisted into. I saw a lady pushing one cart, pulling another behind her, with a friend behind another, all of them heaped with groceries.

Couple that with the disappointing lack of a couple key items. Namely bleu cheese (only one pack in the whole fuking store) and clams, of all things. The result? No homemade dressing, and also no clam chowder. We also bought a griddle (say hello pancakes) and a toaster oven.

Check out was an excercise in patience. I'll bet we stood in line for 20 mins. I know that we left the house at about 1:15, and didn't get home until after 6. If my math is correct, and I have no reason to hope that it is, we were prolly in that store for 2 and 1/2 hours (we hit target and lowe's on the way).

Greaugh.....I'm sore all over.

In other news, I inherited another eq account. Yeah just what I need. Now I can 2-box now. No, that's nothing kinky, it just means I have a healer/slower class that I can take anywhere I want...grin

Ok, think I typed myself out for the time being. Guess I'm outtie for now.

I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.....

Due to a fear of jinxing it, I've been reluctant to report on a series of events that has just come to fruition. There's so much that happened, and some of it is so trivial that I'll just cut to the quick:

Yesterday, after a hellish final walk...my pennance, if you will, I hopped behind the wheel of the 'new' car, and drove home from my sister's house. It's a 87 Suburu wagon. Little white number...kinda boxy, but 4X4 so that's cool. No getting stuck on my way to work.

I think it needs a tune-up, or at least plugs and a fuel filter. Either way, it was affordably priced, AND it passed the test: You can turn the key and start it up. Not a bad little ride.

In other news, Carson City was rocked by a lightning storm last night. It was great. Great chaining ropes of electric fire in the sky. I think I got a couple pics, but I need to process the film.

Yeah, I said it. So what? You wanna make something of it?

Heh..but seriously, you need to use film to capture lighning reliably.

Work's going to be a little hectic for a bit. We lost a couple of operators, and I'm working 6 days next week. Prolly at least one week in the next pay period too.

....Sorry, L just called and we watched an episode of ATHF...

Ok....well, lots going on, lots yet to do. I'll snap a pic of the new wheels tomorrow, and post it.

This is tango fox delta, signing off.

Bleargh....

I hate it when the world gets so busy on me that I can't find time for my blogging.

It's been a madhouse around here. Work is fine. In fact, I'm training a new girl for swing shift. I won't bore you with the sordid details, but we're down 2 operators.

My neice had her birthday celebration yesterday. We were going to go to Wild Island, but after driving all the way from Carson to Sparks (35-40ish miles) we found out that the park was closed. Seems that this was the weekend that IGT has it annual corporate party for all of it's employees.

We ended up going to Circus Circus. There's a midway, and lots of games of skill. The ring toss, quarter pitch, the water balloon race...you know that kind of thing. It was me, my niece, two of her friends and my 'brother-in-law'. I'm sad to report that I have no pictures of the event, as I was expecting to get soaking wet and didn't take my camera.

I have put a couple pix of my newest neice on the puter tho: isnt's she adorable?

She and her mother stayed at home. We ate at the buffett, won lots of stuffed animals and then had some ice cream. We capped the day by heading to the mall. It's strange being at the mall with 3 11-year-old girls, I can tell you. Well, guess that's all I have for now.

Be excellent to each other, and party on Dudes,

T.
