In my haste to discuss the pecularities of the blue moon, I totally forgot that there's a new moon this month too.
At least there was. It was yesterday. Wednesday if you will.
Now, You can say what you want about whether or not the moon affects people, but consider this:
We have tides on this planet because of the moon.
Spring Tides
When the moon is full or new, the gravitational pull of the moon and sun are combined. At these times, the high tides are very high and the low tides are very low. This is known as a spring high tide. Spring tides are especially strong tides (they do not have anything to do with the season Spring). They occur when the Earth, the Sun, and the Moon are in a line. The gravitational forces of the Moon and the Sun both contribute to the tides. Spring tides occur during the full moon and the new moon.
The moon pushes and pull millions of tons of water around if they were nothing. It affects water on an almost molecular level. Now, if the moon can do that to a planet that's 94% water, it would be ludicrous to think that it wouldn't affect an organism that's 98.
I bring this up simply because full and new moons seem to affect water in a very dramatic manner. That may explain why today was such a rat fucker. The worst part is, in 2 weeks we have another full moon.
And it's on a Thursday.
Ok, for sheer pissed-offedness, the call of the day was the auto dialer that called like 100 times in like an hour and a half.
For humor, it went like this:
"Random appliance repair company, this is T.J., how may I help you?"
"No, I'm ok, thanks."
*click*
Huh? Yeah, that's the kind of calls I had all day, and it was sooooooo fucking busy.
Anyhow, if any of this stuff tickles your fancy, let me know.
Carne del diablo,
T.
