If it's not one thing, it's another.....

So much has happened in the last 8 days, that I don't even know where to begin. Some of it's still a little to fresh to talk about.

In fact, I think I'll just gloss over it all, and say that today was the best day I've had since last I posted.

It began with me getting a new job (answering service operator, 7 bucks an hour bene's after 90 days) and ended with me relaxing by the water in Washoe Valley, drinking a beer and fishing. We brought home 6 Rainbow trout, and I've still got beer, so all is good.

I'm debating on whether I should clean the fish, or ask Pops to do it.

Not that I'm squeamish about that sort of thing, it's just that my hands were so cold out at the pond that they just warmed up, and I'm still having trouble using them.

Hope all is well with all of you, and if my hands thaw out, I'll try to post again later.

I love eating Chinese food cold, right out of the paper container.....

That's what I'm doing right now, just so you know. It's General Tsao's Chicken, and it's fucking great. This place around the corner, China East, has some of the best I've ever had.

It's cheap, too. Dinner for 2, which includes one entree per person, fried or steamed rice, soup, and appitizers (2 each fried shrimp, Chinese spare rib, and spring roll)is only 21 bucks and change, delivered.

I don't care how you slice it, that's a good deal. And it's tons of food.

If you don't know how to eat with chopsticks I'd highly reccomend it.

A lot went on today, but I'm really to tired to get into it at the moment, so I'll do it tomorrow.

Night,

T.

Yeah, it's been forever...what's your point?

It' been a rugged week. I've been in almost constant pain (quit my job over it, in fact), and it's getting worse.

I have gone fishing a couple times. Not having a job is nice in some ways, but I'd trade it for no pain and a job. My back is a wasteland, and even as I sit here, it's hurting, so I'm not going to spend uncounted hours typing all the gory details today.

Oh yeah, it snowed again last night. It's been hinting at it for a few days now, and now it's here. At least I don't have to go anywhere today.

Headache, brought on by neck/backache = not fun. Not even a bit.

Well, gonna go eat a handfull of ibuprofen, and chase it with a glass of whiskey. If that doesn't kill me, I may post again later.

Then again, maybe not.

T.

p.s. it's fucking snowing right now 8:35 am pst winter can suck my dick

I was going to take a nap, but I changed my mind.

It was one of those days. I slept in (scheduled day off); drank some coffee; played eq.

-->ding 67 btw<--

My buddy B showed up and wanted to go fishing. The only problem with this is, I don't have a fishing liscense. Nor, sadly, do I have the 39 dollars to get one. I have been wanting to go take some pictures lately tho, so I told him we should go to Davis Creek, and he said ok.

He comes by, picks me up, and off we go. We stop at am/pm, and he buys me a 40 (yeah...so?) of MGD. He then proceeds to drive to the little pond in Washoe Valley, and not to Davis Creek. He says he wants to try this place first. We get out: some old guy out there fishing.

B asks how the fishing is, guy says if your using bait, you should go to Davis Creek. There catching lots up there, and they're bigger. B relents, and again we're off. We get there, and I tell him I know the spot. He walks up to the waters edge, and talks to the two guys out there fising. They've got a couple of nice ones. He wants to fish here. Again, we wander about; he tries 'his spot.'

I'm telling him I know where to fish.

Well, to make an immense story merely long, when he finally went where I was asking him to, he caught a trout I'm gonna say 14-16 inches. Maybe 1.5, 2 pounds.

Niiiiice fish. You can be assured, that fish will be consumed tonight. A nice lemon butter sauce, tons of garlic. I can taste it now. I've so got to get a digital camera.

Tagged too, by fish and game.

Pretty cool.

Oh, I also found a bona fide antique out there. I'm going to get my Mac up and running so I can scan it.

No, really.

That's where the title of this post comes from, really. I was going to take a nap, but, despite my weakend condition, I've decided to do something about my room.

This is not a light undertaking. I sign off now, and these may perchance be the last words we share, as my bedroom is a vast wilderness of disarray.

My back is frikkin' killin' me

It hasn't done this in quite a while, and I'm really not all that happy about it's return.

It was so bad, in fact, that I did something I almost never do. I called in sick to work today. It sounded like my boss was prety mad at me. I hope I still have a job. Scheduled off tomorrow, so if I can find a ride, I'm off to see Dr. Mark.

Not much else is going on.

Oh, I did see the trailer for Revenge of the Sith, and it looks AWEsome!!

Think I'm gonna go stretch out and see if I can get my ancient spine to pop back into place.

Bueno del Taco,

To all the Douglas Adams fans out there...

Don't Panic.

I'm doing my best not to, but I'm wary. I've seen the trailers., you see.

I'm one of those really picky movie to book translation people. I mean, really, you've got the book. Why do you need to change anything? And some stuff, I know, I know. It makes a better story....it reaches a wider audience....and yadda yadda yadda....

I've already seen stuff in there that contradicts what I know to be true. Stuff the didn't need to change.

If you've watched the trailer, and would like to talk about it, leave me a word here.

Casa con carne,

I've been e'murph'sculated

It's my own fault, I suppose. You see, I was giving Murphy a hard time about not being listed on her site.

She dropped a comment on my Slut post, and told me that she added me. Being the person that I am, I popped over to her site, just to make sure.

I scanned the list. Then again, and nothing. I was thinking maybe my browser was loading a archived page, so I refreshed a couple times. Still, nothing.

Then, near the top of the list, I found my name. Only one problem:

I'm not a girl.

Edit: turns out i did, in fact, have the skillz to make the pic small enough, but readable as well heh whoda thunkit

Without sluts, some folks would never get laid.

One of my favorite reads, Murphy has a roomate that she defines as a slut. As someone that has had the Roomate(s) from Hell, I can commiserate with her on how having a roomie who's personality is contrary to her own can wear on you, but sluttery (sluttitude...slutality?) is not necessarily a bad thing.

Take for instance, Mr. Combover. You know him. You see him in the coffee room every morning. He looks sloppy, is unclear on which end of the anti-perspirant/deodorant actually works on B.O., and couldn't dress worse if he tried. Some night, he'll be sitting at a bar, getting drunk because he hates his life, and is convinced that he's going to die before he ever gets laid again, and along will come a slut.

She'll be hammered, of course; stumbling, slurring her words, and just horny enough to strike up a conversation with said loser. He'll be charming (in his mind), and will eventually win her over (again, in his mind). They'll go back to his place...Never hers....She knows how that will turn out, and have sweaty, greasy sex.

He'll awake in the morning, feeling better about himself, and perhaps the world in general. She'll awake with a tounge that tastes like a litter box, a head throbbing like a sump pump, and wondering where the HELL she is. She'll have no regrets, and blame it on the booze....which is what she always does, and the world will move on.

Two people, one given a new lease on life, another just cruising through. But, the affirmation is there. Of course, there are male sluts too, and the circumstances are pretty much the same.

Now, I have no idea about the quality of Murphy's roomates lovers (nor the quantity for that matter), but perhaps she's just spreading love in her own way. Helping out those that might never get laid, but for the sluts.

Anyhow, that's what's been on my mind all day, and I thought I'd share.

Fuego y queso,

T.

The most important thing to remember when making coffee is.....

Turn the fucking coffee pot ON!!

Some days, I'm convinced that if I had half a brain, I'd be dangerous. I mean, a real threat.

In other news, they hired (borrowed, stole?) a dough roller from the other store, and it looks like I'll be able to have 2 days off (in a row, no less) every week.

We'll see about that. I sure hope that it works out. We'll see.

Ok, guess that's it for now. Hope all is well with you all.

Buenos con queso,

T.
