Just when you thought I was back to posting....

Sorry for that. Got slammed with a nasssssty cold and it had me feeling like 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bag. I'm still not entirely over it, but at least I can mostly breathe again.

Half of my nose is still packed to the rafters tho. I hate being sick. I'm sure I'm not the only one, so I'll try to keep my whining to a minimum.

Not much has been going on in the days since last we spoke. We've had a couple storms, but nothing too noteworthy. It has snowed, but not down here in the valley. Well, it's snowed, but not much, and it mostly melts by the next day.

That's just fine with me. Snow may look beautiful, but let me tell you it's a real pain in the ass. When I first moved here, I loved the snow. I used to pray for it. Now, however it's just something else to make my life more difficult.

In other news, L, who you've heard me speak of has just had a birthday. I've also shown her where this blog is, so if you're reading this L, Happy Birthday.

They are having a double experience celebration on EQ, so I'm going to go play that for a while.

Take care of yourselves, and don't get caught doing anything.

34498

That's the number I woke up with in my head. It was a holdover from a dream, the only part of which I can remember is the number, and that in my dream, it was a tire size.

Now, the funny part is, I know that's not a tire size. It is, however the zip code for the roaring metropolis of Yankeetown Florida.

Oh, and also the address of Uddin, Riroz-Ridge Manor Medical Clinic.

If only either of those things meant anything to me. Oh well.

Back to the photos:

The cloud I saw when I left my sister's house:

That was it for Sunday, as I had a call from L, and she really needed a friend, so I took off to Reno. It's so nice having a car I can just hop into and take off. I took my camera, but of course forgot to take any pix. This is a view of Washoe Lake as I drove back in the morning:

So that's the end of this photographic journey.

A day late and a dollar short....

Well, not actually.

It's more like 2 days, and I'm flat broke...but I digress.

The photos from Saturday's shoot also became Sunday and Monday. Part of the reason for that is that I had to work on Sat, so it made for less entertaining pix. Not all of us had a formal dinner to go to.

So, here they are in no particular order:

Well, that's not entirely true. This is the 1st I snapped on Saturday, prior to paying my storage.

Stuck behind a bus.

My computer at work.

Mmmmm...'New' music.

One of the random examples of 'desk fauna' in my office.

Ok...that's it for Saturday. Sunday has become a ritual now. Every morning we go over to Sis's for waffles, and so here is the newest addition to the family, Ava.

A cool cloud formation after leaving.

ok...for some reason, blogger won't let me put any more photos in this post. Guess I'll try again later...

Here we go.

Ok...I took my pix, but I'm going to post them in parts. Mostly because I'm too fucking tired to download the rest of them. I'll give you the first 2 tho. That's a shot of the quartz crystal you may have read about here.

What appears below is the Disney Bathroom. This is a creation soley ours. Pretty cool, huh?

But, as I've said, I'm way to tired to continue, so I'll see you in the morning with the rest.

I really need to get laid....

That's what someone told me tonight.

I'm not going to argue that, but what brought the statement on has absolutely nothing to do with that fact. I was sitting at work, reading my Jack in the Box cup when I noticed something strange.

Even if you discount the phallic nature of Jack's shiny yellow helmet, you can tell me that's not a penis behind him.

Imagine my chagrin, therefore when I discovered this on the other side of the cup. Now, it's been a while since I've been this close to one, but I seem to remember the vagina looking quite a bit like this.....

So, you see, while I may indeed need to get laid, I'm not the one pushing pornographic plastic pop cups.

Oh yeah, those pix don't count towards the Saturday show. I already took a couple for that too, so look for those later...well, today, I guess....

The forcast calls for snow....

And it's already here. Woke up to about 2 inches of the white shit this morning, and more is predicted. It's supposed to snow all day today, and tomorrow morning as well.

What can I say? I'm so excited I can hardly contain myself. At least this year I'm driving through it instead of walking.

I'm gearing myself up for the photo shoot tomorrow. I may take the first picture after midnight tonight, as I'm sure I'll still be awake. The rest will have to wait until the morning.

Well, guess that's it for now.

I'm off like a prom dress.

The calm before the storm...

Ok. I know it's been forever, and for that I'm sorry. I've been in my 'I hate winter, and by extension my life' phase of the year.

I've talked about it before, and so I won't belabor the point.

Things have been pretty much ok lately, if unexciting. That's a large part of why I've not posted. I mean, how interesting is it to hear what I had for dinner?

I'm currently working 2:30-11:00 pm, and that has prolly contributed to my lack of posting too. By the time I'm up and through reading blogs, have grabbed sommat to eat, and showered, it's almost time to head out, and thus no time for blogging.

On another note, Suse has proposed an interesting challenge, and I'm going to take her up on it.

Come Saturday morning, I'll take a photo an hour, and then post them to my blog. It should be quite fun, and if any of you are up for it, let me know.

I wish there was more excitement that I could post about, but the most earth-shattering news I have to report is that last month (well, January actually) on the 12th, I turned the magic 40.

Yeah, you can almost feel the excitement, can't you? Didn't do much, but my Mom bought me all kinds of swag: 2 pairs of shoes, 4 pairs of Levi's, 9 or so new shirts, a bottle of Obsession, a bottle of Escape, and Cell, the new novel by Stephen King.

Kinda made out like a bandit this year. Beyond that tho, it's been pretty boring. We've had our share of snow this year, but thankfully it's all been pretty much melted before I've had to do much driving.

We're in the middle of a storm system right now that's supposed to be pretty nasty, but so far all we've had in the valley is rain. You won't hear me complaining.

Ok. Time for the pre-work ritual.

Puerco de las deniro,

T.
