So, another 2 weeks have gone by

I really have no excuse. I've been neglecting my blogging, and there's no real reason for it.

Well, except for the fact that I live a grey, meaningless existence into which comes no fun, excitement, or adventure. Either that, or I'm just an adult with a full-time job, too many bills, and no money for extra-curricular activities.

In fact, I'm so broke this week (and was last week) that I don't even get to go to Reno to see L, which sucks. I've been getting out of Carson pretty regularly to go see her, and tho we don't really do much, it's still getting out of town. Of course, since I've been unable to go see her the weather has turned fine.

Hope it holds for a week or so. We still have a photo odessy that we need to get done in Reno.

I work today, but it's my Friday, so that's all to the good. Then, there's breakfast at sis's tomorrow, and Monday is payday. That should make for a little gambling and drinking....depends on the size of the check.....

Ok....that's about all I got from Boringtown this time. Hope you're all having more fun than I've been.

Mother nature can kiss my ass...

Ok...the blog below (or the previous one whatever) was one of those posts that I had to save and post later. It was, in fact, posted on Tuesday after my trip to Reno.

You may have noticed that I didn't post a ton of pictures. The reason for that is that the weather sucked the bone all weekend. I shot a couple with my 35, but we haven't finished the film off yet, so noting to see.

We had a great visit, don't get me wrong, but I'm so fucking sick of this weather.

Today is Easter, and again the weather. We had planned a golf day today. Pops, sis's SO, and I were going to play 27 today. The best part? 10 bucks each. With a cart. Pretty sweet deal, right?

You betcha.

The only problem was the snow. Yeah, that's right, you heard me. The SNOW!! I mean it didn't stick or anything, but it was fucking snowing. April 16th, and it's snowing.

Needless to say, we didn't golf. Had a great dinner tho. Ham, asparagus, potato salad, beans and rolls. I'm stuffed.

Here's another link to the phots I tried to post the other day.

Come on you apes.....You wanna live forever...?

I caught Starship Troopers on tv last night. I remember the first time I watched it. Not being an avid Heinlein reader, I came into it cold. I had no idea what the movie would be like, and was unprepared for the campiness.

My girlfriend at the time (now known to me as the lying whore) and I popped it out of the vcr, and watched something else. A couple days later, now fully prepared for it, we put it back in.

The upshot? I love this movie. It's funny, dramatic, action packed, and perhaps best of all, Dina Meyer shows her tits. I'd been waiting for that since waaaay back in the Johnny Mnemonic days.

Now, you may think I'm shallow, or that I'm a pig for bringing it up, but the simple fact of the matter is, that can make or break a movie for me. Not because someone's famous or anything like that, I just like boobies. Well, among other things.

Ok, enough of that. It's 8:09 as I write this, and we're gearing up for brekky at sis's. We created a bit of a monster with that waffle iron that we got for sister. After breakfast, I'm off to Reno. I've been going out to see L quite a bit lately, and we've got an odessy planned.

She has no work on Monday, so I'm staying over Monday night too. We're going to finish our photo excursion around town, and who knows what else. We've been kicking around the idea of going to the driving range and swinging the clubs, so we'll see.

Look for a photo-filled post on Tues or Wed. If, that is, Blogger will let me post pics.

El poquito grande,

Finally....A blogworthy day....

-->whew<--

/em mops brow.

I've been BUSY. Work is good, but still work. I've been playing everquest again, and having some fun with it for now. The weather's been a bit of a shitter, but at least all the snow's been up top.

Breakfast (i have mentioned sunday family breakfast, right) was suspended this weekend due to my sister's absence. She (lucky dog) went to California for a weekend with friends.

And now, to the title.....

L and I have been planning (for a while now) to go out and take some pictures in Reno. Give one thing and another, we've been trying for like a month now (maybe longer) to hook this bad boy up, but to no avail.

Enter Sunday:

L woke me up with a phone call, and over coffee, we planned the day. Out of the shower, and getting ready to go, she calls.

Great, now I have 40 mins to get out my front door, and into hers. In the car, iPod 'spinning.' Good tunes, and I totally made it. We took off, and soon found ourselves near the wash of the Truckee River. We got out, and started walking. L had black and white film, and I was shooting color.

It was a rather grey day, and I was lamenting my choice of film, when I saw the first color picture of the day. Then I came up with this crazy idea of trying to shoot 'black and white in color' pictures. You know, kind of opposite to the colored black and white photos....but I digress.

Due to the weather, the activity level was low, and we decided to take off. We walked past this church. It was old. The fieldstone that it had been constructed of was weathered to a beaten grey color. It was in fact, a black and white image. Of course I took a pic.

On the way to the car, L realizes that she's left her license at her house. We have to get it, I mean, really have to. We take off, and end up driving back past the church mentioned above.

Now, there are many little sayings.

'You can't always get what you want.'

'You can't have everything.'

'You win some you lose some.'

I've heard these most of my life. There's another one, and L got to see a perfect example of it. This grey, weary church slides up on our left, now sporting like 10 total custom, rad to the max motorcycles. I mean, truly beautiful. Even L was in awe. The 'moral?'

Timing is everything.

Well, enough blather, on to the photos. What you are about to see are only the digital images (those im prepared to share at this time anyhow) and there are at least 3 rolls of print film (with another 4 to be shot next time).

hrrrrmmmmmm......

It's not letting me upload photos...

Ok...blasted thing is still griefing me, so head over to myspace by clicking on that worm gear over there on the side of the page....
