Finally....A blogworthy day....

-->whew<--

/em mops brow.

I've been BUSY. Work is good, but still work. I've been playing everquest again, and having some fun with it for now. The weather's been a bit of a shitter, but at least all the snow's been up top.

Breakfast (i have mentioned sunday family breakfast, right) was suspended this weekend due to my sister's absence. She (lucky dog) went to California for a weekend with friends.

And now, to the title.....

L and I have been planning (for a while now) to go out and take some pictures in Reno. Give one thing and another, we've been trying for like a month now (maybe longer) to hook this bad boy up, but to no avail.

Enter Sunday:

L woke me up with a phone call, and over coffee, we planned the day. Out of the shower, and getting ready to go, she calls.

Great, now I have 40 mins to get out my front door, and into hers. In the car, iPod 'spinning.' Good tunes, and I totally made it. We took off, and soon found ourselves near the wash of the Truckee River. We got out, and started walking. L had black and white film, and I was shooting color.

It was a rather grey day, and I was lamenting my choice of film, when I saw the first color picture of the day. Then I came up with this crazy idea of trying to shoot 'black and white in color' pictures. You know, kind of opposite to the colored black and white photos....but I digress.

Due to the weather, the activity level was low, and we decided to take off. We walked past this church. It was old. The fieldstone that it had been constructed of was weathered to a beaten grey color. It was in fact, a black and white image. Of course I took a pic.

On the way to the car, L realizes that she's left her license at her house. We have to get it, I mean, really have to. We take off, and end up driving back past the church mentioned above.

Now, there are many little sayings.

'You can't always get what you want.'

'You can't have everything.'

'You win some you lose some.'

I've heard these most of my life. There's another one, and L got to see a perfect example of it. This grey, weary church slides up on our left, now sporting like 10 total custom, rad to the max motorcycles. I mean, truly beautiful. Even L was in awe. The 'moral?'

Timing is everything.

Well, enough blather, on to the photos. What you are about to see are only the digital images (those im prepared to share at this time anyhow) and there are at least 3 rolls of print film (with another 4 to be shot next time).

hrrrrmmmmmm......

It's not letting me upload photos...

Ok...blasted thing is still griefing me, so head over to myspace by clicking on that worm gear over there on the side of the page....
