Here's how they came out:
Here's another shot, minus my mom's:
I'm pretty tired tonight tho, so that's all you get for now.

Ok, Newark, I know you're out there.....
I don't know if I've ever told you this or not, but I lived in California until I was 11. In and around the cities of Walnut Creek, Berkeley, and Concord (and its konkerd not concorde thank you very much.)
I went back to CA to go to school, and I was in and around the Central Coast. You know, San Luis Obispo, and Pismo Beach.
I've known a lot of town names in California. Partly due to that fact that when I was working at 7-Eleven, they started adding town names to the Lotto tickets. I don't remember exactly why they did it, but I think it was a matching game or some shit.
Anyhow, I thought I was pretty good with CA city names.
Especially in the Bay Area. Then it happened. Just a few days ago, a week maybe. I started getting hit pretty hard from Newark CA.
In the NorCal Bay Area, where I grew up for crying out loud, and I've never heard of it. So, let's welcome Newark CA into the fold, and let me extend this invitation: Please, comment on a post, and introduce yourself.
In other news, Herman has been in town the last couple days....I don't know if I told you that. That's Dave's brother, and he delivers trailers and stuff all over the United States, and he stops by when he's in the area. It's cool. He's a pretty mellow guy, and we always have a good time when he's here.
Of course, we made him (well pops did) halibut. I mean, we've got like a whole frikkin fish for fuck's sake. The World Series is on downstairs, and I'm doing my level best to ignore it.
Fuckin' baseball.
My Raiders lost again today. Not a Surprise, really. And, both Miami and St Louis managed to remain winless for the season. That's 0 and 8, for those of you scoreing at home. Who get's first draft pick if they both lose all 16 games?
At least my boy's have won a couple games. Hell, They only have to win one more to beat last season's record.
Ok, I think I'm done blahering for now.

I don't know what was up.....
By my inet suuuuuccccckkkkkeedddddd yesterday.
Nothing would load, all the game faqs I tried to download were dropping at like 5-6k a second, instead of the 575-617k I'm used to.....It was like somebody dumped molasses on the world wide web, or something.
I hate it when the net is slow. Computers and the internet in general have always worked slower that I do.
When I was a video imaging tech at the paper some years ago, I had a routine for processing the AP wire photos. There were a series of keystrokes in Photoshop that we used to make the photos print ready.
It included such things as changing resolution, converting to CMYK from RGB, and other such tasks. No matter the size of the photo, or the original quality, I'd open the image, start hitting keys, and the have to wait while the puter caught up with me.
Nothing has changed. I'm still moving faster than my electronics.
Oh, well, maybe the new computer that Michael is getting for me will help some. We'll see.
Ok, I have to go make some beef jerky.
See you on the flip side.

It was a busy day at work today.....
I listed like 7 different cordless drills/screw guns.
It was like 'DeWalt festival day' or something.
Tomorrow, I'm on jewelry.
Like all day, to hear T (one of my managers) tell it. If you haven't, you should stop by and check out some of the stuff we have for sale on ebay....some of it's pretty cool.
I'm too whipped to do much more.
Sorry.

You may notice.....
The new page element over there ----->.
That's a link to the top products over at J-List, and my first attempt to actually make money with this site.
It's a site that sells all kinds of cool and wacky stuff from Japan.
I don't know if I've mentioned it, but I'm facinated with the Japanese culture, and am hoping to travel there sometime in the future.
If you click over there, and actually buy something, I get a small percentage of any sales.
Not enough for a ticket to Japan, of course, but money to be spent on the site, buying some fun and wacky stuff for myself.
So, if you're in a spending mood, pop on over and order somethng.

Search me.....
It never ceases to amaze me what searches bring people to my site....
I mean, I'm kinda wierd and random, both in naming my posts, and in what I say.
I think you all (both) know that.
I just thought I'd share some of the recent ones.....
1. Rainbow Fuckin Randolph.
2. Au Jus
3. Who would have thougt?
And, a new on that was there today when I started this post:
4. What are you, a fucking idiot?
I mean, I expect 'the price of convenience,' or some combination of those words to hit my site.
Hell, even T.J. is a valid way to get here, but blue malayan coral snake?
For Pete's sake, is nothing sacred?
Oh, btw, I ate myself into a fucking coma last night, so you have to wait for the pix. We seem to have forgotten it was seafood nite....hmmmm.....
Yeah, look for pix Sun or Mon.
Outtie.

Happy Birthday, Mom.....
That's right, today is my mom's birthday.
I'm not sure, because I don't keep track of such things, but I think she's 29 today. It could be 28 tho, I just don't remember.
We have plans for the whole clan to go to Casino Fandango (i tried to find a pic online but no luck) for dinner. You may remember it from this post.
I'm going to starve myself today, in hopes that I'll be able to eat myself into a coma later. I'm going to take my camera, so look for some pix later.
It's also my best friend Tammy's birthday today.
How wierd is that?
Also, it's payday.
It's also 'omfg the ads are so good we have to shop at 4 different stores' day. I wish one store would just have everything on sale just once. It never happens that way tho.
So, as I sit here waiting for coffee to brew, I'm taking full advantage of the time to do absolutely nothing, as I know my day is going to packed once the sun comes up.
Guess that's all.

I don't really have much today.....
Well, I did get my shipment from BMG yesterday.
Yeah, I fell for it again, and joined a 'record company.' Course, they're all CD's now, but who cares.
I bought one selection, and got some freebies. Yesterday I came home to find the goodies.
4 are replacement discs : Jewel-Pieces of You, Alanis Morisette-Jagged Little Pill (bought this one like 3 times), and a pair of Rush's Roll the Bones, and Grace Under Pressure.
The other two were new for me. Risin' Outlaw, and Lovesick, Broke, and Driftin', both from Hank III.
That's Hank Williams Jr, jr, if you don't know.
Or something.
L had me listen to one of his CD's the last time I was up there, and I loved it. I don't think either of the ones I bought is the one I listened to, but I like them both anyhow.
I'll tell you one thing, he can sure sound like his grandpappy when he wants to. He's got his own sound too, but on a couple of the tracks, he sounds just like old Hank.
So, there you have it. The excitement for Thursday morning.
Hope you enjoy your day.

This isn't, strictly speaking, according to protocol.....
But I figure that anybody that reads my blog has read it for today....or tomorrow.... or whatever.
Just a couple things:
1: I've found out recently that my mom is reading my blog. So, mom, welcome to the fun, and I apologize for the swearing....It's how I talk when you're not around.
2: My boss (the owner of the pawn shop) rocks. I took in some of my home made jerky Monday, and he brought me some halibut in return. Like 7-8 lbs of it. I'm talking a whole fucking playmate cooler full.
Needless to say, I'm stunned. I was told that he'd bring me some, and I was hoping for enough to feed all 3 of us.
Yeah, we've got enough for all of us to eat 5 times.
At least.
Ok, so count this as my Wednesday post, and stay of my back.
I'm off to have some....well, halibut for dinner.
Pulpo ranchero,

I'm watching the Daily Buzz as I blog. Do any of you watch it?
It's like Good Monring, America, only fun. Oh, and I have a major crush on Andrea Jackson.
One of their stories (which is on the front page of the site) is about 2 girls getting booted from a High School football game for paiting their bodies in team colors to show their support.
Unlike the boys at the game, who were topless, the girls had on bikini tops. Nonetheless, they were made to leave the game.
What the fuck is that about?
Would they have had to leave if they just had the tops on?
Or if they had the tops off, like the guys?
I fucking swear, people need to chill the fuck out.
That all I have today.
Buenos con queso,
T.

It's always something.....
Last night we were all going to go to the steakhouse over at the Gold Dust (we had a friend who was waiting there and he said he'd take care of us) I mean, we were planning to use our casino comp dollars to pay anyhow, so there'd have been very little money out of pocket.
So, I come home, Pops is all gussied up, and Dave (the roomie) is too. I, of course opted to stay in my work clothes (501s and a guiness shirt), and we head over to the club.
Dave sported for some gambling (lost my ass), and while we were playing we found out that Chris, our waiter friend, had called in sick. The real trick?
It was his last day. We knew that, and we told him we were coming in. He'd been working at another restaurant in addition to the steakhouse, and was quitting to go full time at the other place.
But the bastard jumped ship on us.
We still have plenty of comp dollars, and we'll be going over on Friday instead, but I was really looking forward to it last night.
Oh well, that's just my life.
Buenos con queso,

Yeah, so it's been a couple days.....
What's your point?
Again, I blame my sister.
You see, the game Oblivion is down to $29.95 and I just had to get it. I've been palying the shit out of it.
If sis hadn't convinced my mom to give me the PS3, none of this would have happened.
You can yell at her if you like.....
Well, back to the game.

You want a title? YOU make one up then.....
Again, sitting here drawing a blank.
Not sure if it's an early morning thing, or simply a (see i cant even think of what else it may be) thing.
Anyhoo, I'm liking my new job, and still getting lots of 'you're doing a great job' feedback from my bosses.
It feels good to be told that. I hate jobs where the only feedback you get from your employer is when you fuck up. Not that I've fucked up yet, but you understand. There are some things that I'm still learning and so I still have questions, but I'm getting over that.
I hear that soon, when the weather changes, I'll be selling snowboards like they're going out of style. It's gonna be fun packing them.....

A problem with dayshifts.....
Now, it's nothing major, but it still bugs me.
It has to do with television, you see. There are a few shows that I like, and I try to watch them when I can. I often forget when they're on, tho, so that makes it tougher.
For the last 2 years, I've been working swing shift, and so I had to try and watch them at work. We couldn't even turn the tv on til 9, so that limited the shows I could watch anyhow.
Now, that problem is this: I'm off by 6 every night, and I forget that I get to watch my shows.
Like the Simpsons last night......
Sigh.

I've seen fire, and I've seen rain....
And snow.
All yesterday, in fact. Yes, it fucking snowed yesterday. Not a lot, and it didn't stick down here, but the mountains have their first dusting.
I can't believe it's here already. I was hoping it would hold off for a while like it did last year.
Oh well.
In other news (i really overuse that phrase) I'm much closer to the Dland post that you have all been awaiting with bated breath.....
Or maybe you haven't, I don't know.
I've picked out the pix that I'm going to use. No mean task when you consider that I had several hundred to wade through. There are disadvantages to digital too, I guess. I seriously doubt I'd have shot 700+ photos if I'd had to buy and process (and scan) film.
Pops made clam chowder last night. It came out good. Not that it ever doesn't, but that was din din last night, and will prolly be lunch today as well.
Maybe dinner too. Depends on how I feel.
Ok, think I'm done now.
Buenos con queso,

Woo Hoo Hoo....it's Friday.....
In any way that matters anyhow.
Maybe not for any of you, but really, it's all about me anyhow.
I'm at the end of my first full work week, and I have to say, I think I'm going to like this job. I've been told by 2 managers that I'm doing a great job, and that they are glad I'm there.
I don't care who you are, or what you do, praise for a job well done is always welcome.
Some of my stuff has sold, so I've been doing more and more of the packing and shipping end of my job. I'm also getting high praise for my photos. I'm not surprised, because, even if I do say so myself, I'm pretty good with a camera.
Especially when it's easy studio stuff. I've taken my studio strobes into work, and it's really a cakewalk to get good photos with the camera/light setup I have.
Of course, I'm using my new Nikon, so it's just a given that my photos are going to be good.
We get paid on Fridays, which is kind of a pain for me, as I'm off on Friday. That means that at some point tomorrow, I'm going to have to go out to work and get my check.
Sigh.
We're also getting quite a bit of wind today. That may mean we're getting a storm. I heard something on the radio that said something about snow. That's right, Fucking Snow!!.
It's waaaaay to fucking early in the year for that happy horseshit.
I'll let you know what happens.
Buenos con queso,
T.

Choices, it appears, are necessary.....
I can remember thinking (in re my ipod) 'when will I ever have a chance to listen to music for 8 straight hours,' and thinking right back 'never.'
That was, of course, before I got this new job. If you can believe it, my battery actually died today. I mean, I just have to charge it, but I actually listened to it long enough for the battery to run down.
About half the songs I have on it now are handpicked. The other half I used autofill for just before I left for Dland. I can see that I'm going to have to make sure that the songs on there are ones I want to hear, as I'm quite likely to get a chance to hear all of them.
I'm just so stoked that I can jam all day while I work. Today I listed some jewelry, and some other assorted stuff. I also actually had to pack and ship a couple things that sold. The cool part is that I listed the items too.
I feel like a success.
Or something.
Now, if I can just convince them to give me the money when these things sell, I'll be in hog heaven.
Yeah, right. I'll just be happy when I get to buy some stuff at low, low prices. I know for a fact that some of the stuff there is gonna be mine. I'm even contemplating a handgun.
There are several used ones in the store, and I was told that if I want to buy a new one, it's cost plus 10%.
Ok, I think I've typed myself out once again.
Fiesta de las frijoles,

Au Jus....It's not quite gravy, not quite blood.....
Let me just go on record and say that I'm liking my job.
I mean, it's kind of repetitive. Take some pix, 'shop the pix, use Turbo Lister to upload to ebay.....
Wash, rinse, repeat.
Tho, when I first get there, I check the company email, and if anything has sold, or better yet been paid for with PayPal, I have to pack and ship it. I also get to answer inane questions about our items for sale.
But like I said, on the whole, I'm liking it.
Yesterday I got some news that makes it just that much better. I was talking with my manager T, (did I tell you we have the same birthday) and she said something about there being a radio in my office, if I wanted to listen to it. I told her that I could hear the one from the sales floor, and half-jokingly said that I had been considering bringing my iPod to work.
To which she responded 'Yeah, that would be cool. We'll just have to tap you on the shoulder if we need you I guess.' I told her that I seldom have it blasting, unless one of the 'must listen to loud' songs happens to come on, and she was ok with that.
So, that's why my ghetto 512k iPod is better that yours: I get to wear mine at work.
Oh, the title?
That was a Homer from Sunday's new episode of The Simpsons.
I liked it so much, I thought I'd share.
El auga de las grande,
