It fucking snowed again.....

I mean, it's just a light dusting atm, but it's supposed to snow for the next 2 days also.

What a crock of shit.

The weather always sucks on my days off. Not sure why that is really, but it's been that way for a looooong time.

Have I told you that I've started collecting world coins again? Yeah, I used to have a whole jar of silver/foreign coins that I kept on my desk. I lost that in the war.

But, I digress.....

Again, I have to thank Al Gore for inventing the internet. I have, in like 2 weeks, managed to procure a coin collection that puts my old one to shame (minus silver and american coins none in any i bought so far). It's been an ebay thing, and it's all commissions from sales I made, so I don't really count it as money.

I've never had it, and I'm certainly not going to miss it if it's gone.

With 3 small purchases (less than 30 bucks total) I have amassed this:




The mass of coins in the middle are all the ones I've been able to positively identify. The baggie on the right is full of coins I've identified to a degree. How I mean that is I found a site with pictures of most of the coins in the world, and by just scanning the pix there, I've realized what some of my 'mystery' coins are, but they're still hopelessy mixed up right now. The few coins on the left are the cool coins I've found so far. Can you see the little copper one with the hole in the center?

Oh, and my favorite 4:




These consist of the topmost one: Haiti-my 'voodoo' coin, the one on the left: I think an actual silver coin, judging by weight and wear patterns, and the two Russian coins.

Well, actually the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, or the C.C.C.P.

Hell, it's worth it just for those 4 coins as far as I'm concerned. And I've got an assload of them. I'm not sure exactly where I'm going with the whole collection thing yet, but I'm having fun traveling the world through coinage.

Ok, I think that's it. If you're nice to me, maybe I'll put up some pics of the snow tomorrow.

Or maybe I won't. I was thinking about sleeping all day tomorrow.....
